On the site Instructables, Yoshinok shows the simple method to build a digital microscope stand that uses your phone-cam, focusing by a laser lens.
As Yoshinok says "The magnification was determined by using calibration micrometer slides and comparing the images obtained by this apparatus to the images from a digital microscope of known magnification".
Now if you want to try it and Do It Yourself (DIY) you will have to spend a cheap price of $10 for this amazing idea of expertise. Visit Yoshinok post here for complete instructions.
