Panasonic Lumix GM1 | Specs | Review



Panasonic has just announced their latest Digital Single Lens Mirror-less (DSLM) camera today. Lumix GM1 comes with a large Digital Live MOS Sensor in an ultra compact size.

Review:
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1 marks the introduction of a new camera type in Panasonic's compact system camera range. It's a tiny camera, but with the specs and high-end construction of the company's higher-end cameras.

The camera has a 3 inch LCD touchscreen and a Wi-Fi. It's heavy on scene modes and filters, with 23 scene modes and 22 creative filters, including HDR. In video matter, the Panasonic GM1 offers top motion and time lapse as well as normal 1080p HD quality video capture.

Having 98.5mm wide and and 54.9mm Height, Panasonic GM1 is more smaller even than the highly portable GMC-GF5. The body is made up of magnesium, to make it a durable and solid construction without adding too much weight. tDMC-GM1 weighs just 203g.

The Panasonic GM1's body has a leather-effect finish, and it comes in two colours in the UK – black and orange. However, a silver trim version will also be available in other countries if you're desperate for a mild retro look.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1 choose to used a brand new range of lenses made specially for the ultra small cameras. It comes with a stabilized 12-32mm f3.5-56 lens kit package. A 15mm f1.7 prime lens is planned for early 2014, along with a 43mm prime and a 35-100mm zoom lens. But the existing Micro Four Thirds lenses can be used.

Having a 12-32mm lens, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1 costs £629, and in the U.K will be the first to have a shipping on November 18, 2013.
